Research shows that about 70% of caregivers die prior to the person they’re caring for due to ignoring their own health and well-being.

Let’s help prevent and decrease such an unfortunate reality, and support family caregivers in our families and communities. Most caregivers shy away from asking for help with the belief that asking for help will indicate some sort of failure or weakness on their part.

Its time we show our love and support to them while they’re alive and are able to enjoy the opportunity of taking a break for selfcare.

Introducing

Pleasant Respite Oasis

Respite Retreats

for Caregivers and Socially Isolated Seniors

in Atlanta, Georgia and throughout the Caribbean.

Pleasant Respite Oasis is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization created to make a joyful impact in the lives of overly stressed caregivers by providing them with quality respite retreats.

Family caregivers spend most of their time caring for a relative without rest, they’re unpaid, on very limited budgets, and with no extra time for their own self-care.

Our respite retreats are created to provide caregivers and socially isolated senior women with quality time for needed rest, pampering, and revitalization.

The 1-3 day retreats will give them the self-care tools, stress management skills, and a new zeal and enthusiasm to take better care of themselves. They’ll discover when focusing on their own well-being, they become less stressed and are motivated to balance their lives with a more joyful outlook on life.

Our Mission

Our mission is to make a tremendous impact in the lives of caregivers and socially isolated seniors to help improve their physical and mental wellbeing, spiritually empower them with cheerful and joyful experiences that will bring healing to their mind, body and soul.

Many of us were raised and influenced by our grandparents and the elders in our families and communities, we now have an opportunity to acknowledge them and encourage them to experience the positive aspects of aging.

It's common for our aging population to feel forgotten and unappreciated, which can be heartbreaking. However, we must remember that we are all growing older with each passing day. It's important to be intentional about the way we treat our seniors and honor their experiences. We must make a meaningful and powerful effort to remind our society about the forgotten truth of our seniors. Age does not erase long-lost hopes and dreams, and we must acknowledge that. Let's come together to show our elders the respect and care they deserve.

When “I” is replaced by “WE”, even ILLNESS becomes WELLNESS!

Let’s make it happen!

We get to put joy in their hearts and an answer to their prayers.

A joyful, cheerful heart brings healing to both body and soul.
